JUST BREATHE, OKÂWÎMÂWASKIY
January 2023
Just Breathe, Okâwîmâwaskiy offers an immersive journey into and out of climate anxiety. Questioning our cultural response to such anxiety, the presentation will involve small groups who are taken on an excursion of hope, deceit, folly and serenity as they attempt to uncover alternatives to a shocking fate.
Co-created by Cree artist Sandra Lamouche and settler dance faculty member Melanie Kloetzel.
I designed this show with Katriona Dunn @kdunn.design

CANTATA
(RUMORS OF MY CRAZY USELESS LIFE)
April 2022
Cantata was my first professional experience right out of university. Written by Clem Martini, it explores the plummet of mental illness in a real and raw way. This play is very near and dear to my life, and I'm very grateful to Jason Mehmel for this opportunity.
The design of this show felt like it was required to be very simplistic, leading to more of an actor focused, intimate experience. This is reflected through the both the set and light design in its bareness. The lights have subtle as well as harsh shifts, reflecting the minds of the characters. The light pushes the characters closer together because of its defined lines.
Thank you Jason Mehmel, Rod Squance, Emily Parkhouse, Brian Jensen, Duval Lang, Valerie Campbell, and Precious Akpoguma. And thank you Cliff kirchhoff for the pictures @c.w.kirchhoffphotography

YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY
Winter 2022
Written by Stephanie Alexandre and Alison Bloxham for performance in the Alchemy 2022 Festival. Designed at the University of Calgary in the Matthew's Theatre. I created the lighting and sound design which was an absolute blast to do. This piece is a new work and a clown show which was a first for me to work on. The light had moments of realism (being in their car driving along the road) and other moments of breaking the barrier to move outside the vehicle, fight, or relive the past. The sound design was very specific to create humorous moments such as clown honks in fights and John Cena mixed in with Ave Maria.

WE THE SAME
Winter 2021
we the same, directed by by Sangheeta Whylie and Directed by Pat Chan was a projection heavy show designed by Jennifer Lee Arsenault. Katriona Dunn and myself assisted in design. I specifically assisted in image sourcing, altering, and projection design as a whole. This show was valuable as it taught me the Watchout program for projection design. Done during the pandemic at UofC.

THE GLASS MENAGERIE
Fall 2020
This was a DRAM 313 class project to design set and costume for The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams. I went very abstract and created the space as if it were a crystal palace inside Laura's mind. Below is my process moving from a lighting concept with some salt crystals to a final design with homemade borax crystals.
CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION
February 2019
My first show as a lighting and sound designer. Directed by Lexus Pleasant and written by Annie Baker, CMT follows an adult drama class through six weeks in a community center. When creating the feel of this show I wanted it to feel like a community center hall without any real abstractions until the end. The show ends with two of the characters doing an exercise where they meet five years in the future, then everything changes around them as we are transported five years ahead to where they are actually talking in a park. The colour mix I used helped to reinforce the idea of the community center while also giving warmth to the actors and definition the their movements, as this is a very movement focused show.
